Columbia Mountain Ranch is only minutes away from Glacier National Park the Crown of the Continent and International Peace Park. In and outside of the Park boundaries are plenty of activities to keep everyone in your party entertained!​
SNOWMOBILING
Swan Mountain Outfitters is the sole concessionaire for horseback riding in Glacier National Park. With 4 different locations you can take your pick of the different views to enjoy from the back of a horse! From 1 and 2 hour rides to all day and dinner rides there is something for every skill level and age.
Skilled wranglers will instruct you in how to control your horse while also providing detailed and interesting facts about Glacier National Park, the local flora and fauna as well as the animals inhabiting the area.
SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING
Everyone's favorite place in the winter is Whitefish Mountain Resort! Their powder is not to be rivaled and they have so many acres of in-bounds skiing area there is no way to see the whole mountain in one day!
If you are trying to get away from the crowds and want to enjoy a more low-key skiing experience Blacktail Mountain is south of Kalispell and is a local favorite!
ICE FISHING
The Flathead Valley offers more ice fishing opportunities than can be listed, from Flathead Lake to McWennegers Slough or Little Bitter Root to name few! Trout, Pike, Perch, Kokanee Salmon, and Crappie are just a handful of species in our local waters!
WOODLAND PARK
Located in historic downtown Kalispell, Woodland Park offers a variety of winter activities including ice skating and sledding. When you are ready to warm up just head for the heated lodge by the pond with a thermos of hot coco!
